My Best Friend’s Wedding

Hi peeps! A belated Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

It’s been almost a month since I last blogged… My 2012 not only ended with double treats i.e. my birthday and wedding anniversary but with an added sweetener, where I was Matron Maid of Honour for my best friend’s wedding. Held at the historical heritage mansion, Carcosa Seri Negara in Kuala Lumpur, here are a few snapshots from the beautiful day that’s best described as understated elegance. What I wore:

Morning: H&M one shoulder pastel pink long chiffon maxi dress

Night: Aijek maxi gown with smocked bodice from Trixilini

I matched both dresses with Wanderlustandco Circle & Fringe Gold & Rose Earrings which was suitably recommended by the lovely owner, Jenn. Can you spot the decadent macaroon trinket boxes? Yes, these are the same ones that Chriselle Lim gave to her bridal party and I couldn’t help but get a few for girly keepsake.

My Arty Grandmama

While clearing my phone’s photo gallery, I came across this picture and smiled.

Doesn’t the Arty look beautiful on my grandmama’s finger? I certainly think so.

Taken the last time I was back home in the peninsular…
I remember Grandmama pointing to my Arty when she saw it.
I remember her asking about the type of stone as I took it off my finger and handed it over to her.
I remember seeing her putting it on and the both of us looking together…
It was a perfect fit on her finger.

I’m blessed. Grandmama lived to see me walk down the aisle and she lives…

Grandmama, I pray that you’ll stay with us for many more years to come.
You are Heaven sent, a blessing to our family. Our matriarch.
May the good Lord take care of you and keep you safe under His wings always.

Last Saturday Night…

Hi peeps!

I’m back from the peninsular after a long weekend spent with family and friends. Feeling tired and heading to bed soon but not before sharing a few pictures from our Saturday night, where we celebrated the marriage union of our friends, Doreen and Tim. It was a wonderful affair… simple and sweet. A reflection of both their personalities. I wish them a blessed marriage made in Heaven, here on earth.

Sweet dreams… don’t let the bed bugs bite.

What’s different? Curls, curls, curls. One last look and I’m ready to go!

His and Hers matching outfit.

With the radiant bride in her cocktail dress. Brides naturally glow.

Heart the details. Nude with black lace peplum.

The powder room was perfect for shots with good lighting.

A change of profile. To the left, to the left.

Presenting Mr and Mrs Tim Spragg!!!

All smiles with my date for the night.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.

Happy Sunday peeps!

I had a girls only Saturday night, where we celebrated my girlfriend Doreen’s last few days of single-hood before she becomes Mrs Lee-Spragg. The wedding will be held in KL so the Hubs and I will be fluttering next week! Looking forward as it has been some time since we were back home in the peninsular.

I remember also being in blue almost 2 years ago for my own Hens Night. And the dress was one shoulder too, coincidentally. Hhmm, maybe it’s gonna be a tradition I keep moving forward – blue for Hens Nights.

The itinerary of festivities = dinner at En Grill Japanese Bar and Restaurant + private stripper session + cake cutting + clubbing till late. Unfortunately, no pictures are allowed during the stripper session so you will have to make do with pictures of me, of the bride-to-be and our Tiffany coloured goodie bag which had a VS pantie inside as a souvenir for every girl who had fun last night 🙂
