The Fammie arrived safely and we headed to the newly opened Dean & DeLuca Singapore @ Orchard Central for my brother’s birthday celebratory lunch. Founded in 1977, D&D has earned a reputation as an icon of New York City culture and lifestyle, and I learned about their expansion to the island from my brother who has been eagerly anticipating his first taste visit here.
Spot the birthday boy.
Our orders… which are all part of the All Day Breakfast menu – (clockwise) Belgium Stack, Berries and Flapjacks, Classic American breakfast, Eggs Iberico
Ascending the escalator that goes up to D&D at Level 4, the ambience is inviting with a flow of natural light across the floor which features two separate dining areas, a signature cafe and an in-house bakery. Food selection is abundant with a range of pastries and cakes, salads, soups, sandwiches and an all day breakfast selection. Diners will also find a variety of gourmet retail items for purchase to bring home as they enter the main area to place their orders. Self-service is the practice here where orders are taken at the main counter and drinks/beverages collected at the sub-counter. Food orders will be sent to tables.
Overall, we had an enjoyable and satisfying dining experience. On average, we spent around $25 per person. Tilting a little on the high side but I reckon the food quality made up for it. What about the sweet savours you ask? Well, our tummies were filled with no more room and we had to take a rain check for dessert!

Happy Thursday peeps!
How time flies… We’re closer to the weekend again! I’m looking forward to this weekend especially, as my family aka fammie will be down in the island for a visit.
Today, I decided to go nude. Well, not literally 🙂 I’m seldom seen in lighter colours but I loved the beadings on the neckline and could not resist adding this dress to my wardrobe although it is a little feminine for my taste. In addition if you look closely, the fabric has tiny speckles of silver dust on it! What do you think?
Stay tuned! Upcoming post: On a therapeutic hair treatment experience.

Notice the silver speckles of dust?
Loving this picture with my adorable lil’ cousin, Reanne. It was taken last Sunday at a BBQ by a friend, Jesiee who I reckon snapped at the right moment and freeze framed the relaxing atmosphere of the afternoon.
Current favourite no. 1 – Wanderlust Snowflake earrings which adds a touch of bling to an outfit either with hair up or down
I discovered Wanderlust through Karen Cheng‘s blog and it has become one of my favourite online shopping sites. Statement jewelry pieces with a sense of eclecticism without compromising on quality, the lovely packaging makes the arrival of your goodies and the process of unwrapping it all the more sweeter. Ribbons, I like! – and the turquoise with white trimmings band that provides the finishing touch has since been recycled to decorate gifts and even used as a luggage identifier.
Wanderlust’s owner, Jenn, is helpful and always willing to share her thoughts. We exchange emails when I have a choice dilemma i.e. too many items in my shopping cart, a ‘Will it fit me?’ enquiry i.e. when it comes to the size fit of bracelets as I have slim wrists and if there’s a rush delivery request. These are my other two current favorites which I have also been wearing often with my outfits.
Current favourite no. 2 – Wanderlust Mooncluster Gold and Violet earrings which is perfect with an updo or high ponytail to show off the beautiful violet clusters
Current favourite no. 3 – Wanderlust Mooncluster Gold and Violet earrings which can be worn with office or casual attire for that classic touch

The element I love about this Chanel inspired design – typical peplum front the front but it surprises at the back with a ‘criss-cross’.
